The Climbing scene in Homer has taken off with the development of the Wos across the bay from Homer. The Wos offers top-notch sport and traditional climbing on an ever increasing number of routes established by locals. This is a great area to learn or push your limits. In addition, the Anchor Point Boulder is a wonderful place to spend the day and try the many easy an hard problems. Kachemak Crack across from Homer is Homer to one of Homers first rock climbs, Kachemak Crack (5.9). This lovely area has great hiking, camping, and climbing. While Homer may not be a global climbing Mecca, we do have some great spots and many more are lurking out there. Get involved and help up push Homer area climbing to the next level!
